New Range of HDMI v1.3 Matrix Selector Products Now Available

  • 26th May, 2010

We would like to introduce our new range of HDMI V1.3 HDMI Matrix Boxes. These new matrix boxes provide an excellent solution for connecting multiple HDMI devices and displays together. Many options are available, each differing between the amount of Inputs/Outputs available - 4 in: 2 out, 4 in: 4 out, 2 in: 2 out, and 2 in: 4 out. If you are looking for a HDMI switcher box, a HDMI splitter box, or a bit of both, these Matrix boxes are a great solution.

For example, our HDMI V1.3 4 in: 4 out Matrix Selector gives you great flexibility over your HDMI devices and how and where you want them displayed. Up to 4 HDMI devices can be connected to the unit for display to up to 4 High Definition displays. You can use any combination of input to output, giving you multiple display scenarios.

With this matrix box, you could connect a Blu-Ray player to the unit via HDMI, with the matrix box able to duplicate the HDMI signal received into up to four separate and identical High Definition signal outputs. This results in identical High Definition digital video and audio reproduction on all of the connected HDTV displays.

Other examples include connecting multiple HDMI devices such as a Set-Top Box, Game Console or DVD Player to one HDMI display device, allowing you to easily switch between your devices. Or you could connect 4 HDMI devices, and output each device to a separate HDMI display. This is a useful way to extend your home theatre into different rooms of your house – watch cable TV in your bedroom while others watch a DVD in the lounge room!

Our new model switcher boxes function in a similar manner to our existing range of HDMI Matrix Selectors, however these new models are of HDMI V1.3 specification, enabling you to take full advantage of the extra feature enhancements available. HDMI 1.3 increases its single-link bandwidth to 340 MHz (10.2 Gbps) to support the demands of future HD display devices, such as higher resolutions, Deep Colour and high frame rates. HDMI 1.3 also supports 10-bit, 12-bit and 16-bit (RGB or YCbCr) colour depths, up from the 8-bit depths in previous versions of the HDMI specification; as well as adding support for new lossless compressed digital audio formats Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio.

These switcher boxes are very flexible and are perfect for use in professional applications, digital signage, or integration into your private home theatre. Our new model HDMI v1.3 Matrix Selectors include:

-HDMI V1.3 4 in: 4 out Matrix Selector
-HDMI V1.3 4 in: 2 out Matrix Selector
-HDMI V1.3 2 in: 4 out Matrix Selector
