HDMI & USB over CAT5/6 Transmitter & Receiver
Transmission of HDMI & USB signals over CAT5/6 cable is easily achieved using our ID#864, "HDMI & USB over CAT5/6 TX/RX". This High Def/High Speed transmission system allows a HDMI or DVI signal source, such as from a PC or DVD/Blu-Ray player, to be viewed on a High Def monitor located up to 100 meters away. Four USB ports on the receiver unit easily accommodates connection of USB compliant devices, such as a mouse, keyboard, printer, external disk drive or KVM controller, for operation of the PC from the remote end.
HDMI & USB over CAT5/6 TX/RX consists of a transmitter unit and receiver unit, co-located with the PC or Player (transmitter) and HDTV monitor (receiver). A length of CAT5/6 cable up to 100 meters is connected to the transmitter and receiver units via RJ45 connectors. To extend USB functionality to the remote end, a USB adaptor cable is connected from a spare PC USB port to the USB in of the transmitter. RS232 control and InfraRed (IR) control can also be connected to the HDMI & USB over CAT5/6 TX/RX transmitter to extend remote control functions to the receiver end.
The HDMI & USB over CAT5/6 TX/RX receiver unit connects to the HD monitor via HDMI or DVI adaptor cable. LED's indicate connection and data transfer status of active system. Four USB ports allow for PC peripheral equipment to be attached at the receiver for extension of PC functions to the remote end. IR control is via the IR window on the HDMI & USB over CAT5/6 TX/RX receiver unit and is transmitted over the CAT5/6 cable back to an "IR Blaster" connected to the transmitter unit and set up in front of your source equipment.
RS232 control protocol is available and easy to set up.
Adding to the HDMI & USB over CAT5/6 TX/RX functions, it can also be connected for operation with up to 16 pairs of units in a matrix configuration, using a single IP router.
