HDMI Scaler and Format Converter
HDMI Scaler and Format Converter is ideal for scaling your PC VGA signal or HDMI signal up or down to best suit your display monitor or HDTV. It will also allow you to change the video format of PAL or NTSC to the other, matching your video signal to any screen. Ideal as a simple plug'n'play solution to fix mismatched video players and HDTV's.
Compact design with easy access to the power input and HDMI in/out ports, plus an OSD menu control button for easy selection of output resolution. Press the button once to display the OSD menu, then press repeatedly until the desired output timing is highlighted. Simply leave the desired output timing highlighted and the HDMI Scaler and Format Converter automatically changes to that timing. For easy reference, the current settings for input and output timings are also shown in the OSD menu display.
The HDMI Scaler and Format Converter accepts a wide range of PC and HDMI input signal timings. PC timings range from VGA through to WUXGA and for HDMI, from 480i/p through to 1080i/p. Upscale SD 480i/480p and 576i/576p to selectable HD 720p or 1080i/1080p video signal to best match your HDTV. Downscale HD 720p, 1080i or 1080p video to selectable SD 480p or 576p resolution to display on your smaller LCD screens. Change PC VGA signals to any HD HDMI signal for HDTV display, or change any HD HDMI signal to any PC VGA signal for PC monitor display.
The 720p, 1080i and 1080p HD output timings of the HDMI Scaler and Format Converter can be selected to output at 60Hz(NTSC) or 50Hz(PAL). This means that you can easily play and watch any PAL or NTSC format video and display all to your HDTV, regardless of the PAL or NTSC format of the HDTV. If you have a US HDTV trying to display a PAL video, no problem. Simply select the output timing of 720p@60Hz, 1080i@60Hz or 1080p@60Hz and the video will display in full colour and sound. If playing US videos to a PAL TV, then select 720p@50Hz, 1080i@50Hz or 1080p@50Hz as the output resolution.
