HDMI Over Cat 5 / Cat 6 Product Overview
Our range of HDMI over CAT 5 / Cat 6 products provide a convenient way to extend a HDMI signal over a long distance. Instead of using expensive HDMI cables, you are able to distribute the HDMI signal over an inexpensive CAT 5 / CAT 6 cable. We have a large range of HDMI over CAT 5/6 products available, with products varying between features available, signal transmission distance, and Inputs/Outputs available.
ID#748 - HDMI v1.3 to CAT6 Transmitter
ID#749 - CAT6 to HDMI v1.3 Receiver
These are our basic Transmitter and Receiver models. They accepts high resolution Input/Output up to 1080p, and the Input/Output source can run up to 45 metres (1080p/8 bits).
It Complies with HDMI 1.3, HDCP 1.1 and DVI1.1 standards, and requires two (2) CAT 5/CAT6 cables to run from the Transmitter to Receiver unit (one for Video, one for DDC channel). The Transmitter and Receiver units are sold separately and are able to function independently, for example you are able to use one of the units in conjunction with a HDMI/CAT6 Matrix box. Includes a handy IR function which allows you to use your existing remote control to control your device over a 30/45 meters distance.
ID#865 - HDMI Over One CAT6 Transmitter and Receiver
This is our mid range model. It accepts high resolution input up to WUXGA/1080p, with the CAT6 operating distance of a WUXGA/1080p 8 bit signal able to run up to 40 metres. The Input/Output device is also able to run an additional 12 metres @WUXGA/1080p 8 bit resolution.
Unlike similar HDMI Over Cat6 products which distribute the CAT6 Video and DDC data along two separate CAT6 connections, this unit distributes the Video and DDC Data along a single CAT6 Connection – resulting in an easier setup and saving you on cable costs. The transmitter is powered by its USB connection while the receiver obtains its power through the CAT6 cable. When operating over long distances the receiver can be connected with a USB power supply for improved performance.
ID#905 - HDMI v1.3 over One CAT6 Transmitter
ID#906 - HDMI v1.3 over One CAT6 Receiver
This product is very similar to our ID#865 HDMI Over One CAT6 Transmitter and Receiver. The main difference between the two models is that this version (ID#905/906) has its own dedicated power supply, whereas the ID#865 model is powered by its USB connection. ID#905/906 also features a more sturdy case made from aluminium, and can extend a HDMI signal slightly further.
When transmitting a signal in 1080p 8 bit resolution, the CAT6 operating distance is 45 metres. This means that you can position the Transmitter and Receiver units up to this distance without any drop in signal quality. Further adding to the extension distance, the HDMI signal from the Input device can run up to 15 metres (@1080p 8 bit).
ID#872 - HDMI v1.4 Over Single CAT5e/CAT6
This is one of our high end models. This high performance device supports HDMI v1.4 signals, including 3D content and 4k x 2k signal resolution, as well as 7.1CH, Dolby TrueHD, and DTS-HD audio support.
This unit distributes the Video and DDC Data along a single Cat5e/Cat6 Connection. A wide range of Input/Output video resolutions are supported, including uncompressed 1080p @60Hz, 48bits. It can transmit and receive uncompressed audio/video up to 100m, with additional control through the built in RS-232 and IR ports. Further, with its HDMI bypass design it allows an instant display at the control point.
ID#866 - HDMI & IP Over Single CAT6 Extender
This is a high end model which is designed to allow you to extend one HDMI signal, as well as three Ethernet signals (IP), over a long distance. With one Ethernet cable you are able to control the device through the built-in RS-232 / IR ports, send uncompressed Audio/Video, and provide power to the receiver.
The HDMI & IP Over Single CAT6 Extender is compatible with HDMI v1.4 specifications, allowing cutting edge features such as Audio Return Channel and 4 K x 2 K video resolution possible. The extender also supports uncompressed video 1080p, 60Hz, 48bits and 3D. Audio support includes 7.1CH, TrueHD and DTSHD. Also features full HDCP and DVI compliance, as well as featuring various controls over HDMI CEC, RS232 and IR.
