HDMI 1 in 8 out Single CAT6 Splitter

The HDMI 1 in 8 out Single CAT6 Splitter is designed to split one HDMI video signal into eight separate but equal CAT6 protocol line signals. It distributes each individual CAT6 protocol line signals via one CAT6 transmission cable (terminated by a CAT6 to HDMI converter: ID#906) and then connected by HDMI cable to each HDTV. The maximum distance for Standard Def transmssion is up to 45 metres, while for High Def it is up to 15 metres. The HDMI 1 in 8 out Single CAT6 Splitter is suited for Advertising displays, Educational displays and for quality video distribution to other rooms in your home.

Fully HDMI v1.3 compliant, the HDMI 1 in 8 out Single CAT6 Splitter supports all HD and 3D video technology with EDID support and control. PC resolutions supported are VGA ~ WUXGA (1920*1200@60Hz) and High Def resolutions are 480i/p ~ 1080i/p@50/60Hz, 1080p@24Hz. Transmission distance across CAT6 cable will vary, depending if Standard Def video (480/576) or High Def video (720/1080). The higher the resolution, the less distance travelled. Standard def video will transmit upto 45 metres while High Def will transmit up to 15 metres. Cable and termination standards used are also very important, affecting distance and signal quality.

HDMI 1 in 8 out Single CAT6 Splitter supports transmission of Uncompressed Digital Audio formats like LPCM2, 5.1 and 7.1 Surround Sound and supports transmission of Compressed Digital Audio formats like Dolby 5.1 DTS 5.1, DD+ and D-. The Digital Audio component is part of the HDMI protocol and is integrated with the video component for transmission. The HDMI 1 in 8 out Single CAT6 Splitter gives visual display indicating when an input and any output are connected. LED display also indicates if the received signal is 3D or not. Input and output connections are clearly labelled and accessible with slimline flat black metal finish casing.
