The DVI over CAT5e/6 Transmitter and Receiver, using a DVI Extender over single CAT5e/6 cable, allows uncompressed video and audio from a DVI source to be transmitted over distances of up to 60m to a DVI or HD display (provided the HD display has DVI output). This device is useful for a number of applications, including home entertainment, lecture displays, retail sales or commercial advertising displays, or business/educational presentations.

For example, if you were doing a presentation for a project, you could connect your DVI source (such as a laptop) via the DVI-I connection to the Transmitter (DVI-D to CAT5e/6), which will connect to the Receiver (CAT5e/6 to DVI-D) using a CAT5e or CAT6 cable, and connect your DVI display (such as a screen or projector) to the other end of the Receiver. You can sit comfortably at a desk while you give your presentation or be in another room while your audience watches.

The DVI over CAT5e/6 Transmitter and Receiver allows for a more efficient system setup and is easy to install. Uncompressed video and audio can be transmitted to distances of up to 60 meters at 1080p and 3D with High-Definition Audio up to 7.1CH (with HDMI to DVI adaptor). Designed with HDBaseT technology for greater flexibility in custom installations with full DVI signal transfer over a single CAT5e/6 cable.
